“We met Janna in 2020 about a year after we brought home our second rescue dog. We had been battling some learned reactivity with our older dog and decided to add to the chaos by bringing home a very intelligent, very hyperactive Mexican rescue. Although we initially called her about training for our Mexi pup, Janna spent time learning about our little family and some of the challenges we'd been having with both dogs and provided not just strategies but reassurance and a lot of education on dog behaviour. She took both dogs together and separately for training, and provided feedback after each session as well as suggestions for us to work on which worked great for reinforcing the behaviour we wanted to see. Fast forward to almost 4 years later, our older dog has significantly reduced reactivity meaning that she is able to go for off-leash frolics again, our Mexi pup is still hyperactive but he can be off-leash safely, his manners have improved and he is now a frequent member of Janna's hiking group despite being told he couldn't return to a doggy daycare we tried him at (and taking a personal issue with Janna's own dog!). Janna has made our life with our rescues so much more enjoyable. She's taught our family skills, patience and also limits to what we can expect from our dogs. Wish I'd called her sooner!”

“We first started with Janna 3 years ago. We were new parents and our pup Lola wasn’t getting the attention she needed. That was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made for Lola. Janna not only provided her with activity and adventure but she also helped Lola to develop better skills off leash. Being a Mexican street dog and a terrier, Lola is quick to get distracted. That has improved greatly thanks to Janna’s incredible skills as a trainer. Lola’s recall is so much better and she looks to us more and waits for us when off leash. Big feat!

Janna truly cares about the dogs she works with! She has gone above and beyond for Lola. And Lola loves Janna- we can’t walk past her house or truck without Lola reacting with as much excitement as a child on Christmas morning.

“I have had the pleasure of training with Janna a handful of times. She delivered her knowledge in a kind and effective way for me and Ladybug to understand. While the training is mostly for me , my dog thoroughly enjoys it and is always excited to see Janna when we are out and about. “We first contacted Janna to help us with our boy Blue. He is a blue heeler border collie cross so his energy is very high and herding instincts are very strong especially with mountain bikes. Janna was very quick to identify some solutions and gave us tips to redirect his energy. She was very kind and helpful. She also let us know that she offers pack walks which have been awesome. She picks him up from the house even if we aren't home, takes for a good long hike and brings him back tired and happy. Can't recommend her services enough. Janna is the best!”
