HIKING CLUB

Freedom in nature, supervised social interactions and trail etiquette practice.

Dogs being dogs! Running, sniffing, playing, off leash and outdoors; with good friends, tasty snacks and a watchful eye. The hiking club offers a combination of off leash exercise in nature, supervised social interactions and obedience practice.

We pick up your dog from home and together with a small group they will enjoy 1.5 to 2 hours of off leash adventuring in a variety of dog-friendly locations around the Comox Valley. We practice loose leash walking, waiting turns, polite taking of rewards, stays, recalls and responsible trail etiquette.

At the end of each hike, your dog will be dropped off home, paws wiped and soon dreaming of their next adventure. Your dog will be well cared for, their exercise and social needs will be met and their training and manners well maintained.

PRIVATE LESSONS

For those committed to the process. Learn and grow together as a team.

Whether you want to get off to a good start with your new puppy, improve your adolescent dogs recall skills or work on your dogs leash reactivity, we can help.

We will use management strategies and equipment changes to get you some immediate improvements, while we train new desired behaviours and reduce the problem ones.

Private lessons are best for those wanting to be involved in their dogs training and who are able to commit to the process. Behaviour change takes time and so we offer packages of lessons to better ensure your success.

Lessons may be held at our training room in Cumberland, at your home or at other locations. A travel fee may apply.
